What to bring
The documents, payment card and driver details you need at handover.
Your booking shows whether the rental is payable at pick-up or was prepaid online. If it is payable at pick-up, you may use an accepted card or cash. In every case, the refundable security deposit requires an accepted physical card in the main driver’s name.
Paying for the rental
- For Pay at Pick-up bookings, pay by an accepted credit or debit card, or in cash, when you collect the car
- For prepaid online bookings, no second rental payment is collected at pick-up
The deposit always needs a card
- The refundable security deposit is blocked on a credit or debit card — cash is not accepted for the deposit, even when you pay the rental in cash
- It must be a physical card issued in the name of the main driver
- Prepaid cards, virtual cards and digital wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay are not accepted
Why the card and the driver must match
We check the card against the driving licence and ID of the main driver to prevent fraud, so a card belonging to someone else cannot be used.

Only the main driver named on the booking can collect the vehicle, and the main driver cannot be changed online. If someone else needs to collect the car, get in touch and we will update the booking for you, or make a new booking in the correct name.

Send us your reservation number and the details of the new main driver. We will check the booking and update it for you.
Or re-book in the correct name
Cancellation itself is free before pick-up. Cancel the incorrect reservation, then create a new request in the name of the person who will collect the car. A new booking is subject to current price and availability; if the original was prepaid, its refund is handled separately.
Adding an additional driver
If someone else only wants to drive alongside you, add them as an additional driver — online before pick-up under "Manage bookings", or at handover with their own driving licence. The main driver still has to be present to collect the vehicle.
No. In Bosnia and Herzegovina there is no automatic authorisation for spouses or family members. Anyone who will drive the car — including your husband or wife — has to be added to the rental as an additional driver. Adding one is free at ETERNAL, so it costs you nothing, but it does have to be done.

What the additional driver needs to bring
- A valid driving licence, plus an International Driving Permit where one is required, for verification
- A valid ID card or passport
- They must meet the minimum-age requirement and hold a valid licence for the selected vehicle category
The additional driver has to be present at pick-up so we can verify the documents. Only drivers listed on the rental agreement are permitted to drive the vehicle.
