Coverage under this plan
“No Extra Protection” is the default option when you do not buy an additional protection plan. It adds no damage or theft cover for the rental vehicle.
This option includes no additional rental-vehicle protection item:
- No additional rental-vehicle damage or theft cover
Third party insurance is included with every plan
Third party insurance (statutory third-party liability insurance) is included with No Extra Protection, as it is with every protection plan or option. It applies to covered liability for death, bodily injury, or third-party property damage, subject to the limits and terms of the applicable policy and mandatory law. It does not cover damage to the rental vehicle, the renter’s own losses, a deductible, or other contractual charges.
What is not covered
This plan does not include the following coverage items:
- Collision & Theft Protection
- Windscreen, Glass & Lights Protection
- Tyres Protection
- Underbody Protection
- Interior Protection
- Other costs
Zero liability applies to damage to and theft of the rental vehicle. "Other costs" are never covered by any protection plan and always remain the renter's responsibility — these include cleaning charges, lost or damaged personal possessions, expenses related to flight or accommodation bookings, fuel and late-return charges, traffic fines and their administration fees, loss of vehicle documents or keys, towing and recovery caused by a breach of the rental agreement, and any loss falling under the exclusions below.
Deductible, liability and deposit
This option does not reduce your liability for the rental vehicle. For each incident of damage or theft, you may be liable up to the full value of the vehicle, plus all other uncovered costs. The €500 security deposit is not a liability cap or a substitute for paying a claim.
Important: The deposit and your deductible/liability are different. The deposit is security taken at pick-up; it does not limit what may be charged for damage, theft, uncovered costs, or a breach of the rental agreement.
Mandatory card requirements for the deposit
The 500 € deposit must be provided at pick-up using only a physical credit or debit card in the main driver’s name. Cash, prepaid cards and virtual cards are not accepted for the deposit. The card must have sufficient available funds. A credit-card amount is generally held, while a debit-card amount may be charged and remain unavailable until refunded. After the vehicle is returned and all amounts due under the rental agreement are assessed, the unused deposit is released or refunded; banks commonly take 5–10 business days to make the funds available again.
Conditions for protection and reduced liability
Any cover or reduction of liability applies only when the renter and every authorized driver comply with the rental agreement, including these duties:
- Only the main driver or an additional driver expressly named in the rental agreement may drive.
- The vehicle must not be used under the influence of alcohol or drugs, illegally, intentionally, negligently, for racing or towing, off-road, or for any other prohibited purpose.
- Every accident, theft, damage or breakdown must be reported to Eternal Pro immediately; for any accident or damage, the police must be called immediately and an official police report obtained before leaving the scene.
- Do not admit liability, make a private settlement, or leave the vehicle without securing the scene and the vehicle.
- Provide accurate information, photographs, the police report, keys, documents and all other material needed to process the incident.
A breach of these duties may void any contractual cover or liability reduction and make the renter fully liable, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Duration and related terms
The plan applies only during the rental period stated in the signed agreement and within the permitted territory. Any extension or cross-border travel must be approved in advance. These terms apply together with the Rental Agreement, Insurance & Liability Terms, Payment Terms, Vehicle Usage Guidelines and Coverage Exclusions. Mandatory consumer rights and the terms of the statutory third-party liability policy cannot be excluded by this document.
